Susan Daniel

 

Susan Daniel, O.D. has been in private practice in Carlsbad, California since 1992. She is the Past-President of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and is a frequent lecturer domestically and internationally. Her practice specializes in neuro-optometric rehabilitation and developmental visual evaluations for those with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, stroke, brain injury and other neurological disorders. She provides optical treatments and vision therapy to improve visual information processing, posture, visual perception and the visual skills needed for non-speakers to use an AAC device, letterboard or keyboard to communicate. She is the mother of an autistic non-speaking adult son.

Mehrnaz Azimi Green

 

Dr. Mehrnaz Azimi Green is a 2002 graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. In 2004, she began working with Dr. Harry Wachs at the Vision & Conceptual Development Center in Washington, DC specializing in visuo-cognitive therapy. Dr. Green continues to work at VCDC where she delivers exceptional vision care, including neuro-optometric therapy, to patients of all ages. Dr. Green has extensive training in working with children with developmental delays, including autism. She combines her knowledge of neuro-developmental challenges with her training and experience in optometric rehabilitation to improve the lives of her patients. Dr. Green is a Fellow of COVD where she serves on the International Examination and Certification Board and is a member of the Optometric Extension Program and Neuro-Optometric rehabilitation Association.  She proudly serves as a clinical director of the D.C. Special Olympics.
