Charles Shidlofsky, OD, FOVDR, FNAP

 

Charles Shidlofsky OD FOVDR FNAP is Clinical Director of Neuro-Vision Associates of North Texas, a specialty clinic serving children and adults with neurological vision issues. He is a consulting neuro-optometrist at Baylor Scott and White Institute for Rehabilitation-Frisco, Dallas and Ft. Worth.

​

Dr. Shidlofsky also serves as a consultant for several Texas-based rehabilitation centers, including the Centre for Neuro Skills and Pate Rehabilitation. He is residency director for a private practice residency in vision rehabilitation through Southern College of Optometry. He is also the team vision consultant for the Dallas Stars (NHL), Allen Americans (ECHL) and FC Dallas (MSL).

Dr.Shidlofsky is the president of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (https://noravisionrehab.org) and immediate past president and founding member of International Sports Vision Association (https://sportsvision.pro).

M.H. Esther Han, OD, FOVDR, FAAO, Dipl ABO

 

Dr. Esther Han specializes in neuro-optometric rehabilitation. Her recent clinical interest lies in the evaluation and management of Visual Snow Syndrome. She also sees complex cases from all the metro NYC area with her residents and optometric externs. She is a full-time Associate Clinical Professor at the SUNY College of Optometry and the Residency Program Supervisor for the Vision Rehabilitation - Brain Injury Emphasis Residency.

 

Dr. Han earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry in 2001 and subsequently completed a Residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the SUNY College of Optometry in 2002.

 

Dr. Han is well-published in the areas of vision therapy, pediatrics, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. She has lectured domestically and internationally in China and Italy.

Allison McCain-Schroeder, OD

 

Dr. Allison McCain-Schroeder graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2024 and recently completed a Vision Therapy & Brain Injury Rehabilitation residency in 2025 at EyeCare Associates in Connecticut, an external SUNY College of Optometry affiliate program. Dr. McCain-Schroeder is currently an associate doctor practicing full scope optometry at EyeCare Associates. Dr. McCain-Schroeder has a personal connection with rehabilitation optometry after experiencing traumatic brain injury in college and undergoing two years of vision therapy and rehabilitation services. Her optometric interests include management of post-concussion and dysautonomic conditions, and visual processing challenges.

Richard Laudon, OD

​

Richard C. Laudon, retired from the New England College of Optometry as a tenured Associate Professor.   His expertise was in the realm of binocular vision, vision therapy, concussion, and learning difficulties.  Dr. Laudon has had the opportunity to lecture throughout the United States and overseas.  He is also well published, addressing controversial subjects such as evidence-biased medicine, visual hygiene, and financial independence in the optometric literature.  Dr. Laudon has a special interest in behavioral finance.  He has and continues to teach students and professionals about the importance of properly managing their money.  

 

In retirement, Dr. Laudon has become a writer on Medium (rlaudon.medium.com).  His articles focus on issues related to well-being, health, and financial literacy.  He has also become an avid softball player and is the Coordinator of the Pioneers Division of the EMASS Senior Softball League in Massachusetts.
